To delete a business policy:
- Navigate to the detail page for the obsolete policy
- Optionally
If you would like to keep a backup of the existing policy, you can do one or both of the following:- To keep a copy of the rules only for documentation purposes
Download a copy of the business rules in spreadsheet format (from the Version History list) - If you prefer to keep the entire policy so you could restore it in future, you can clone the policy
Click the Clone button
Then give the policya different name and optionally add some notes
Finally click "Create Policy"
- To keep a copy of the rules only for documentation purposes
- Click "Delete"
- Confirm you want to permanently delete the policy

Please make 100% sure you are in the correct org before deleting the policy. This step is not reversible
*** Important note: if you have many policy execution records related to the policy, the step above will fail due to Salesforce limitations.
This situation can be prevented using the scheduled execution record cleaner included with the app, which we strongly recommend. Please see this article for instructions on its use.
If you need to clean out records on a one-time basis, there are several options:Using the Truncate option
Use with caution as this will delete ALL execution records for ALL policies.
