If you do not see ay checkboxes next to the list of records in the Test Console, this is most likely due to one of two Salesforce configuration issues: 

  • Inline editing not enabled
    Under Setup->Customize->User Interface, make sure the 'Enable Inline Editing' box is checked

  • The list view needs to filter on a specific record type
    If the main object for the policy has record types enabled, the list view that you want to use must have a Record Type filter, such as:
